President Donald Trump on Tuesday endorsed Dr. Brian Schmutzler in the Republican primary for Indiana’s 11th State Senate District, backing him against incumbent Republican state Sen. Linda Rogers in a Truth Social post that praised Schmutzler and sharply criticized Rogers.
“It is my Great Honor to endorse Dr. Brian Schmutzler,” Trump wrote, adding that Schmutzler had his “Complete and Total Endorsement.”
Trump described Schmutzler as a “MAGA Warrior and REAL Republican,” a “Proven Leader” and a “Highly Respected Anesthesiologist and Medical Director.” He said Schmutzler would “fight tirelessly to Protect ‘Hoosier’ Values.”
Trump said Schmutzler was running against “RINO incumbent Linda Rogers” and later called her a “‘RINO’ LOSER.”
The endorsement gives Schmutzler a major boost in the District 11 primary and adds national attention to the race.
Schmutzler’s campaign website also lists endorsements from U.S. Rep. Marlin Stutzman, pastor and author Lucas Miles, Turning Point Action and Stand For Health Freedom.
