South Bend Redevelopment Commission to Vote on $825,000.00 Property Purchase

SOUTH BEND — On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission is poised to vote on a property acquisition valued at $825,000. The transaction involves purchasing 15 acres of land located at 4022 Old Cleveland Road, in what they intend to serve as the site for a Low-Barrier Intake Center.

Earlier this year, on February 8th, the commission already acquired a 5.16-acre parcel for $277,750, similarly purchased as the site for a low-barrier intake center.

The Redevelopment Commission Packet for October 10th's meeting states: "If approved, staff would begin the disposition process on the Commission-owned property on Bendix Drive at the next commission meeting."
